According to a press release from the Australian Embassy in Hanoi. It’s the extra seats that will help the two-way tourism have more opportunities to travel between Australia and Vietnam. The agreement also secures a number of benefits for travellers and the aviation and tourism industries. The signing of this memorandum finalises negotiations which began in 2010 and underscores Australia’s record of co-operation with Vietnam.

From both countries to and from the major Australian gateway destinations Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, there are about 14 services a week, or about 4,200 seats (an increase of nearly 1,200 seats) are operated by Air carriers. They can also fly seven services a week, or about 2,100, seats to and from these destinations if the flights stop over at regional Australian airports such as Adelaide, Darwin or Cairns or stop in Hong Kong to drop off and pick up passengers travelling between Australia and Vietnam.

Because of the addition of services and seats, the travelling between Vietnam and Australia becomes easier. So need to apply Vietnam Visa, Australians can be supplied facilities to Vietnam.
